He couldn’t find his behind with both hands unless a Kennedy family retainer was there to help him.

And apparently no Kennedy family retainer could find the time to brief him on little details like the NAME of this candidate whose victory was supposedly so critically important to carrying on the late Senator Kennedy's legacy.

I think the Kennedy dynasty is coming to an end. They're basically good people, and genuinely believe in the political causes they support (refreshing in this day and age, even though I don't agree with their beliefs). But there's no evidence of any special talent or drive in the generation now coming into the primes of their lives. The fact that they couldn't muster a better candidate than Coakley -- whose central campaign theme seemed to be "send me to Washington and I'll vote for whatever bill the party bosses tell me to vote for" -- is telling. Senator Kennedy would have been unspeakably embarrassed to hear the "I'll be an obedient party puppet" crap that Coakley was spewing on the campaign trail, as she claimed to be on her way to filling his shoes.

You know, on FR we have a policy of sharing our drugs with other FReepers. I see from your comment that you are high on drugs right now, and I'd like a hit/snort/puff of whatever it is you have.

But for reals, now: I respectfully disagree with your characterization of the Kennedys as "good people".

Several of them are full on traitors deserving of the death penalty, and a lot of the rest are just elitist, snobby assclowns who do not abide by the rules that us little people are held to. Oh, and they sometimes rape or murder people, too. That is definitely not cool.
