Listening to Scott on Fox, he just said that he has talked to Kirk and Kirk said his days as a Senator were over.

I think this means no more votes by Kirk, and no more cloture!

Can it be that Scott Brown, in his first hour, just trumped Harry Reid?

I don’t know. None of the papers seem to be clear if Kirk is now ineligible to cast a vote. The contention is that he can until the moment Brown is sworn in, while others say that Kirk was ineligible when Brown was elected. I think it’s the former... because the election has to be validated and the results sent to the Senate President in proper order. This is where the Dems will play games.
