More troubling than Pat Robertson’s remarks is the fact that sentient beings attend and/or view his television broadcasts?

Thank you very much. Hebrews 12 really explains this well. Please feel free to ask further questions.

what if Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell are RIGHT?....thats' what is scary.....

IMO...there is a certain karma in life....it doesn't always come around.....look at Hugh Hefner....but eventually...

Truth is this...a people of good character, morals, values, work ethic, etc will always do better than others...

One of the things I have been pondering lately is the end times will have earthquakes in "DIVERSE" places. I think we have always had earthquakes, but the Bible writer was trying to point out that earthquakes would appear in unusual locations. Everyone expects a quake in Kalifornia, but what if we had several quakes in places like NYC, Texas, Ohio, ect? I'm sure Haiti has had quakes before, but how long ago? It is on a fault line, but how many know about faults in Texas, Arkansas, and other places. I'm 58 and have lived in Texas all my life and just recently even found out we could have a quake on the Gulf coast. I had no idea.

A closer look at the food situation shows we could easily have a famine with Obama's Ag policies. It's just sort of a hobby of mine to keep an eye out for Bible prophesy setting up. It's always interests me when people say an earthquake in Haiti is some sort of punishment, but when the twin towers are hit, that is somehow different. I don't pretend to know the difference, but people just somehow think those other people deserve what they get. Iran recently had an earthquake that was quite bad. We could read on almost any blog about how Allah "let em down". China got whacked and then there was that tsunami. The troubles are non stop, but it just doesn't seem to make sense when we get hit. When Jesus said "There is none good, no not one", and "Our righteousness is as a filthy rag to God", I think he was talking about more than just Americans.

There was a 6.1 aftershock in Haiti today plus a few tremors in the region ranging from 5-6 on the Richter scale. I like you believe quakes will come in places where they do not normally occur when the time comes as God will judge the whole world.

However in Haiti I have seen miraculous rescues and certain places being spared damage. This past Sunday at church I found out that we have a sister mission church and hospital there which were not damaged at all where the injured and sick are being taken care of without delay thus saving lives. It is awesome to see God’s mercy which leads to salvation.

...." It is awesome to see God’s mercy which leads to salvation."....

Amen to that.

Bit late but just noticed your reply. It is no cop out to avoid thought. I gave you a thought to digest and explain if you like: namely Pat Robertson’s support of China’s one-child policy, his objection to US “interference in this matter and his statement that he doesn’t actually support forced abortions but he understands why the policy is necessary.

That’s what it takes to make sure you can do business in China and that’s the deal Pat Robertson made with China.

If you’d like to refute that be my guest. But pretending I offered no support for my claim is itself a convenient cop-out to avoid thought.

Which one of us is discussing real issues, and which one of us is just posting cop outs?

The issue My comment was dealing with is Pat Robertson” losing his mind”. That’s a pretty far cry from his take of China’s One-child policy.

You can take issue with my claim that Robertson lost his mind when he defended China’s One Child policy despite millions of forced abortions.

You could, for example, defend Robertson’s support of evil, or you could say that selling out one’s principles is often the price of doing business with communist regimes, or you could say a few million forced abortions is nothing to get too worked up about.

But you can’t claim that my description of his mental state is a “cop out to avoid thought”, when in fact it was directly followed by specific thoughts on the matter.

Why are you going on and on about Pat Robertson anyway?

I’m just responding to your comment that I use “cop outs” to “avoid thought”, when in fact I’m discussing issues (that happen to be life or death issues for millions of people) and you have yet to provide a substantive comment on any single issue at all.

It’s the kind of irony I enjoy, particularly on a Friday afternoon : ) Have a nice weekend!

You called Pat Robertson’s difference of opinion with yours “losing his mind”. That’s a cop-out.

Can you perhaps define the term “cop-out”?
