That’s a strawman, and I’m certainly not suggesting that that should be accepted as removing the NBC-ness of a candidate. American does not RECOGNISE citizenship granted in that manner. It does however recognise citizenship conferred by parents, and by naturalisation.

Are you seriously suggesting that if a Presidential candidate went and got naturalized as an Iranian citizen they would still be eligible?!
