With unemployment at 10 per cent and rising, the ultra-conservative Tea Party movement is galvanising Republicans and hurting Obama. And Sarah Palin is its lodestar

The British just don't American consrvativism. They never have. But hey, even our own liberals don't have a clue what American conservatism is about either.

I got to the part where it was Bush’s fault, and quit reading.

Bob Beckel was on Hannity tonight saying the Tea Party movement has little to do with the overall dissatisfaction, including what’s happening in Mass, and called them/us “baggers”. They forget...it was the Boston Tea Party. If Brown wins then it will be a nice symmetry.
Yeah, they don’t get it.

Sarah Palin poses a danger to liberals and RINOs, which are essentially the same thing.
Some people aren’t ready to write off this country just yet.

Of course it's a hatchet job on Sarah Palin, Rush, Fox and conservatives in general.
One would expect nothing less from the New Statesman, which is a hard line, left wing British magazine, that makes Daily Kos look like moderates.

“

The good news is, those 2 very tough conservative ladies(I forget their names), simply took him apart (apparently they started their attacks on him even before they came on the air). Even Sean Hannity had to remark, that he'd known Bob Beckel for a long time, and had never seen him so miserable.
“They forget...it was the Boston Tea Party”
Ironic isn't it?

The more these un-American elitist left-wing bastards attack Palin, the better she must be.
The is the Anti-Obama particle which sends the left into hysterics.

The real danger is to the elitists and they know it. The good old boy big gov knew it in Alaska and they know it now in DC. The rest is just smoke and mirrors.

“.... if she is to achieve the unthinkable and become the party’s presidential candidate in 2012, turned down an invitation to speak at the more conventional Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington.”
IMHO she’s doing the right thing by omitting CPAC from her itinerary. CPAC has become the hangout for RINOs and DIABLOs (Democrats In All But Name Only). The only thing she would do by speaking at their gig would be to give THEM some semblence of Conservative Cred, which they do not deserve. And it would dilute HER cred in the process.

Yes, she
is doing the right thing! She's going where the action is going to be in the not-too-distant future.
Not to quibble with you, but (just for future reference) DIABLO is Democrats In All But Label Only.

The Tea Parties are "ultra-conservative"???
I'll bet that's news to the thousands of independent mostly apolitical regular Joe and Jane Americans who've participated in them as a way of showing their disgust for a ballooning and freedom-stifling big government.
