(Married to a Marine, mother of a Marine, stepmother of 2 Marines - I am not biased)... In some of the Haiti coverage over the weekend, an American man was being interviewed, who had been rescued from rubble. He was with his wife. She said something to the effect of “....when I heard that the United States Marines were going to Haiti, I knew things would get better....”. Made me smile.

Said he was seeing SOS on the ground spelled out with clothing, etc asking for the U.S. Marines
Some Haitian after getting some water said something like “We believe in God first, and America second”.
