His supporters say the book will show Romney is more thoughtful than Sarah Palin.
BY KENNETH T. WALSH
Friends of Mitt Romney say his upcoming book, No Apology: The Case for American Greatness, is a lengthy and detailed explanation of his philosophy and should be a fitting prelude to a 2012 presidential campaign if Romney decides to run. The book, which comes out March 2, seems designed to position Romney as a thoughtful conservative who has ruminated carefully about the major issues of the day, ranging from the global economy to national security.
Romney supporters say it will serve as a conservative contrast to the views of President Obama but also will show Romney to be far more thoughtful than former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who is also considering a 2012 run. Her book, Going Rogue, is a bestseller, but it has apparently done little to improve her reputation as a thinker and a leader who can reach out beyond her conservative base and master the complicated challenges of national office.

ROTFLOL!
I meant THIRDY PARTY.
Cool.
Oh, good. I thought Glenn had gone officially schizo rather than just pretending for laughs.......
Romney is of course a mormon.
We live in a Nation that is predominently Christian.
mormons are in a cult. They are not Christian.
There is no possible way for a mormon Republican Nominee.
Just the truth.
NO, it’s not Romney’s TURN. It’ll never be Romney’s turn.
He didn’t win any states that he wasn’t able to buy.
They forgot to mention Huckabee, when it comes to “turns.” He’s run just as many times as Romney: ONCE.
LOL. I just mean it as a slam. Happy Thirdy Party...lol.
“More thoughtful? What the heck is that supposed to mean?”
He thought alot about abortion before he supported it and then he thought alot about running for President before he was against it.
Then, he forgot to think alot about RomneyCare, not knowing that ObamaCare would be a primary issue.
But now he is thinking alot about that now.
I tell ya, Glenn is a good guy but he is one strange bird..sometimes I wonder what side he’s really on, I think he was soured on Sarah because she didn’t agree on his 3rd party BS..she closed the door to that option and made him look like a fool. He’s been promoting that BS for months
Wonder if Romney will stick by his political transformation from a liberal Republican to a unprincipled, two faced liar, or will he have another epiphany yet.
The bigger question is, will Scott Brown be Romney's running mate in 2012, or will it be the other way around?[/sarc]
Oh so he wasn’t being serious..that’s a relief
Yes, she popped his fantasy balloon during the last minute of their “conversation” and he’s not going to recover from that for a good, long while. The very next day he went on BOR’s show to pronounce that she will need to lower her shields and disembowel people like O’Reilly if she’s going to run for POTUS.
Yeah when Glenn said that on O’Reilly’s show I thought that was the stupidest comment he has ever made..I thought to myself, wait a minute, so are you telling me Glenn that in order for Sarah Palin or anyone else to be a contender for the Presidency of the United States, he/she has to be able to beat the “Great” Bill O’Reilly in a game of “Whose Smarter” Okie Dokie..I’ll take a crack at it and if I win, I too can become President. Glenn was kissing BOR’s butt WAY TOO Much and that statement was proof of that
BTW, Glenn is a great student of history and he knows better than most the failure of third parties. I think his thinking is more like ours, in that he wants to get rid of incumbents, but he should start saying that in plain language. I part company with him when he says both parties are the same, because they’re NOT. Read the platforms and watch the various votes in congress.
Go for it! You've already got a GOOD name !!!!
Hey you should run too. I bet you can take on Bill O’Reilly. Boy I’d have to go back and read some of my old history books to catch up. Haven’t been to school in a while, but heck, I’ll give it the ol college try. I can take him on. Bill is all smoke and mirrors. A few months ago he said that even though he is a Harvard grad he did not understand the health care bill. Is he serious, he doesn’t get it..I get it, Obama and his commie buddies want America to become Europe, there, took me three seconds to figure it out and I’ve never stepped foot in Harvard
I’ll wait to pick it up in the 99¢ bin, on March 3rd.
I think what Glenn said was that Pubs generally seem to go for the guy whose “turn” it is, like it was Bob Dole’s turn, or McCain’s turn, and this time they may think it’s Romney’s “turn”. It wasn’t an endorsement, he was hoping it wouldn’t happen.
Romney and his supporters sure seem to think about Sarah Palin a lot.
Gee, I wonder why?
Ohhh Ok..now I see..thanks for clearing it up for me. I hope it doesn’t happen either. I don’t really know Romney so I can’t judge him, but when I think of Romney, I think of RomneyCare, which to me is the exact same thing as ObamaCare, so really, between Obama and Romney, other then there being an R next to Romney’s name, is there really much of a difference between the two
