I think that Nixon going to China was about the stupidest thing he did.
We are paying for that in our economy and our defense.
We were better off when China was still 999 million peasants.

No, we really weren't. China from Deng to Tianamen was fantastic progress for all of mankind, including us. But pretending Tianamen didn't happen or didn't matter, was a mistake.
