Republicans and Big Government
Ludwig von Mises Institute ^ | February 19, 2002 | James Ostrowski

Posted on 01/17/2010 4:47:47 PM PST by Leisler

"Contrary to popular myth, every Republican president since and including Herbert Hoover has increased the federal government's size, scope, or power--and usually all three. Over the last one hundred years, of the five presidents who presided over the largest domestic spending increases, four were Republicans. Include regulations and foreign policy, as well as budgets approved by a Republican Congress, and a picture begins to emerge of the Republican Party as a reliable engine of government growth.

Shhhhh! Don’t burst people’s bubbles

Although to be fair the Austrians are mostly anti-war and anti-military. They don’t like to admit that having nukes and other big toys helps keep their ivory tower asses safe at night

Propaganda on 3rd party has begun dont fall for this garbage they know the only way for them to win is to split our party let conservative rule the party and take back power to the people.

We have them on the run. Articles like this will continue to emerge into the November elections.

Dont fall for it lets get rid of the RINOS and elect the most conservative people we can.

This isn`t propaganda, the Republicrat party has been part of the problem, you may not like it but that doesn`t make it untrue. If you`re going to make accusations based on opinion, perhaps someone should point to your being a newbie?

This is probably true.

And that is why conservatives do not blindly support the republican party. They place their values first.

We know there is really only one party - THE BIG GOVERNMENT PARTY - with two branches.

The major difference between democrats and republicans:

Democrats want to suck the country dry and give the loot to their pals without caring if they destroy the country or not.

Reublicans want to suck the country dry and give the loot to their pals but do not want to destroy the country - they want to keep the country alive so the loot keeps flowing.

Whoever we elect going forward better know that they are on a short leash, more like a choker chain. They start wobbling to the left, they will be out. We either get people of integrity and values in there or they go. Term limits at a minimum. And oh BTW, we see collusion by lobbyists and businesses, Star Chamber kicks in. enough letting the a**holes screw with the country.

We have to pound this theme. We have to take away the Republican left/liberals weapon of saying one thing and doing another.

People, rightly so, see little difference between the two parties. We’re like two types of socialist soap bars.

I’m not going to have a socialists steaming dump taken on me by the GOP, as they have always done, AND SMILE about it and say it is a sunny day.

Conservatives have to quit being like blacks in the Democrat party. Thankful, used and dumped on.

Recall that Nixon, a Republican, started the Environmental Protection Agency. Watch it go, as it begins to regulate CO2. Recall that Bush ran tremendous deficits and refused to close the southern border.

To a greater extent, you are correct, but you either forget or do not realize what most of them are... LAWYERS.

No, I didn't forget we are increasingly ruled by power hungry, avaricious lawyers.

That's where the part about sucking the country dry comes in.

The local paper had an ad, er... I mean article about the state economist saying that it was ok to increase taxes because the economy was about to have an "uptick."

I wrote to inquire if that was like any other blood sucking tick.

Nobody had any response...
