As I recall, quakes below 4 magnitude in Yellowstone are not significant, except as conversation.
If they start coming in above 4, then pay attention. I don’t even see any bigger than 3 at the USGS site?...
Citing “small seismic activity” without enough geological knowledge to put it into context generates a lot of misinformation and confusion - as I have already encountered by another FReeper here. Small events like these are NOT newsworthy by any fashion.
parker peak is solid seismic activity, is that what i’m seeing on the map? (YPK)
I found tonight's recording interesting as a potential sympathy episode towards the larger quakes off of California and of course Haiti.
Looks like a entered into a hornet's nest though...lol
I think though your assumption is correct.
How long between the visits?

Do I here an echo?
If I recall, 7 years.
Age 11 then age 18.
We may have been in the Park in between those dates, but not through the West Entrance.
I have relatives in and near Cody.
She just graduated with a degree in English, so I haven’t a clue what she will do...she has friends in MT who love it and she has spent 2 summers there, so she cannot be more excited.
And we are from Michigan, so we prefer the outdoors and the COLD!
Like the rumbling of my innards. Some days activity picks up and some days, nothing. Depends what I’ve had to eat.
You asked no question about the activity to answer in the first place. I was tempted to give you a facepalm. I also said that you should have clarified the purpose of posting this thread - was there something out of order with these earthquakes, etc. You left nearly everything blank to be filled in by the imagination of the reader. If you think monitoring the number and size of quakes in Ystone is fun - post that in general/chat and say so.
Or CNN’s what’s his name Bison!....lol
You can see through the static though the quakes that did occur.
POST OF THE DAY !!
Take a look at the maps from the two major erruptions from Yellowstone... very interesting and very broad affecting the west coast all the way to the gulf area.
