It’s like Katrina all over again.

Except that in Katrina, people had a week's warning and for the most part could have left if they chose. Except that with Katrina there were no aftershocks. Except that with Katrina only 300 people died, and the majority of those were people who decided, against every recommendation and plea, to stay with their homes. Except that Katrina was caused largely by human stupidity and stubbornness in living below sea level, while this was a disaster entirely of nature's making.

1577 people died in Louisiana from Katrina, not 300. And no not everyone who died were poor and black.

You don’t think Haiti’s death toll isn’t a little bit due to man? The corrupt government had no infrastructure or building codes. Instead of improving the infrastructure with the gazillions of aid money they have received over the years the corrupt government enriched themselves instead.
