Maine GOP Primary Governor Poll
Pine Tree Politics ^ | 1/17/10 | Self

Hey Mainiacs - There are now 7 contenders for the Republican gubernatorial nomination in Maine. The most recent is Steve Abbott, 12 year chief-of-staff (i.e. DC insider RINO hack) for Suzie Collins. Virtually all are RINOs with the stark exception of Paul LePage - a solid conservative, businessman and mayor (3rd term) of Waterville.

Pine Tree Politics is running a poll through the 20th and if you are a Mainer please go to their site and vote. The link above should take you to somewhere on the poll page. If not, go to their home page http://www.pinetreepolitics.com and look on the scrolling stuff on the right side for Republican Primary Poll #2.

We really need an infustion of conservatives into Maine politics to reverse the state's implosion. 2010 is the year to do it.

When Mr Lepage was asked what his first act a Governor would be, he responded;

I will go down to the I-95 entrance to Maine. There is a sign that says ‘welcome to maine, vacation land. I will take a chain saw to it, and replace it with a sign which reads’ Maine, open for business’.

And then the sign “Maine, the way life should be” or something like that. Sure. Bottom of the barrel educational achievement, rampant welfare, aging population because anyone with ambition probably left the state as a young adult, regulations galore, etc.
