Thanks for the update. I live in Jersey and received a live phone call from a campaign worker in Massachusetts asking me to vote for Coakley.

I bet she just dreaded going into that diner with the common people...she’s probably still washing her hands.

Good job, and not all that shameless ;-)

Hopefully no reporters were shoved to the ground in the making of this report.

It would not be a real democrat election stop without some union thugs thrown in the mix.

Here's what the DemonRATs are sending out to raise money...

I just got up to Martha Coakley's campaign HQ to help her win Tuesday's crucial special election. I have to tell you -- this isn't like anything Massachusetts has ever seen.

It's happening right after the holidays, so a lot of people haven't even heard about it. Meanwhile, the same guys behind the Swift Boat ads are taking over the airwaves to distort Martha's record, and the same far-right tea-party crowd that's attacking President Obama is funding her opponent.

The stakes in this race are incredibly high. If we don't hold this seat, a right-wing Republican will hold Sen. Ted Kennedy's old seat until at least 2012 -- and we'll lose a crucial vote in the Senate for health reform and the agenda we fought so hard for last year.

That's why we're going all out in Massachusetts with a massive effort to lock up a Democratic victory. But we can only afford to keep this battle up against the far right through Election Day if folks like you chip in.

Please donate $5 or more to help us make Martha Coakley the next senator from Massachusetts.

Democratic ads are highlighting the key differences between Martha, a long-time public servant and one of the nation's best attorneys general, and her extreme Republican opponent who would walk in lockstep with Mitch McConnell and national GOP power brokers.

And our organizers are engaging volunteers by the thousands to make sure Obama voters make it back to the polls.

But we need your help to keep it going. Please donate $5 or more to the Democratic Party to support our work, including our efforts to elect Martha Coakley:

Let's win this,

Hari

Hari Sevugan
Press Secretary
Democratic National Committee

my unofficial Brown Vs Coakley sign count from my ride to work this morning 18 to 1
I counted 18 Brown signs and 1 Coakley sign,
and the ONLY COAKLEY SIGN was on the electricians union HQ in Boston

Hope that is a good sign and Brown wins by enough that they can’t cheat.

Hmm I wonder if the fact that I was driving to work on a saturday relates at all to my political ideology?

I work near the Brown HQ in Needham. Driving from there through Wellesley, Framingham, Marlborough and Northborough, Scott Brown supporters with signs far outnumber Coakley supporters.

I even saw a bunch of Scott Brown supporters with signs on an overpass on Rt. 9. It's really unprecedented here in Massachusetts.

In my hometown of Chelmsford, the town center is usually where you get the sign holders at election time as it is the major intersection in town where five roads converge. There were the Coakley sign holders on each corner but they were surrounded on both sides by Brown sign holders who outnumbered them easily by a 5:1 margin.

The Brown sign holders were obviously volunteers who seemed happy to be there and they were waving to the motorists and getting lots of honks. The Coakley sign holders looked distracted and bored and seemed like they just wanted their shift to be over so they could get out of there.

Guess, what, y’all? The Brown campaign is sponsoring a People’ Rally in Mechanics’ Hall in Worcester tomorrow (1/17/09):

http://brownforussenate.com/the-peoples-rally

That is exactly the same time that obama “may” (according to boston.com) speak at Northeastern University in Boston:

http://www.boston.com/news/local/breaking_news/2010/01/obama_may_speak.html?camp=localsearch:on:twit:metro

http://www.boston.com/news/local/breaking_news/2010/01/details_of_pres.html

Please spread the word!!!! If you are in Massachusetts and can get to Worcester, help make a big crowd for Scott Brown, and avoid the SEIU/ACORN thugs and party hacks who are sure to show up at Northeastern. Attending church in the morning and saying a prayer for Brown, the voters of Massachusetts, and our country wouldn’t hurt either.

It’s REALLY interesting that the “People’s Rally” is in support of a Republican candidate, while Democrats (once “the party of the people”) are having more elitist (but thug-infested) events.

I was in Plymouth on Saturday doing some shopping and went to the Home Depot off exit 5. The Coakley supporters were at the entrance to the Home Depot Plaza, about 20 of them. They were smiling and waving but there was no response from any of the cars driving by. It could have been someone holding up a going out of business sale, based on the lack of response from motorists going by. I then went to the Shops at 5 which is about 200 yards up the road, where the Brown supporters were out in force. The difference was overwhelming, with every one yelling and cheering and there was also a crowd gathered in the parking lot for a rally. Almost every vehicle that went by was honking and waving and the feeling was truly electric. It was a mirror of the candidates with Brown supporters being enthusiastic and the Coakley supporters seemingly just going through the motions, expecting to win. I can't wait until tomorrow when I can cast my vote for the first step in getting this country back on the right track.
