I just saw an interview with a guy wearing a taboggin that said "Yele" talking about his family in Haiti. he was mentioning donations and had a message on his shirt. I did a search of "Yele" and found a website that has been set up. I couldn't help but notice this:

The public is invited to drop off specific items that will be part of the airlift. Yéle volunteers will be on site to screen the donations and will accept only the following items:

- nutrition bars (individual or in packages)

- blankets and sheets (unopened in store wrapping)

- non-battery radios and flashlights (windup or solar)

- candles (loose or in packages)

While the blankets are for people sleeping outdoors and on the street, the sheets are for wrapping bodies of the dead.

Packaged sheets are easier to transport. They are flat and easy to handle. The odds are that nobody is going to send them sheets that are not packaged but it does not hurt to be specific in what they want. Which is not a bag full of sheets.

Ok, knowing me as i do,,,i can’t believe im saying this. But while you are clearly correct, id let the poor SOBs get laid to rest in a new sheet. Maybe not 600 thread count egyptian,, but a new sheet. Poor miserable SOBs,, victims of leftism even more than they are of the quake.
