She is from Massachusetts. I've no idea what she is thinking - none. The Red Sox are THE sports team in Massachusetts and most of New England. The Schilling as Yankee fan insult doesn't even make sense.

I don't get it. I wonder if Schilling ever posts here at FR. Wish he'd chime in.

it would be one thing (still foolish) for a Mass. pol simply to say they are not much of a sports fan (sacrilege in the Boston area) — people might be able to pass that over

but to make it so abundantly clear that she has only contempt and disdain for all of the Mass. citizens who do love their teams and players, well she is nuts, stooopid, on a campaign death ride, or all of the above
