This situation makes the ‘Global Warming’ agenda all the more absurd. The time, money, and energy devoted to the AGW scheme would have been better spent planning for the real disasters such as the one that’s impacting Haiti.

These disasters occur with some regularity, but we’re often left with the impression the emergency response facilities are non-existent, or underdeveloped.

I don’t mean to be critical of the efforts being made to help the Haitians.

Absolutely! You know full well these things are going to happen, several times a year in a bad year. And it's always the same. Everyone is caught flat-footed, pants down, etc. And, as expensive as it would be to maintain some sort of strike force to move into an area to secure it, determine what's needed and get the area set to receive help it's got be less expensive than the way it's done now.

I'm with you, I don't want to cast dispersions on anyone who is working their butt off to help these unfortunate people in Haiti. But I'll bet their efforts could be improved 100 percent with some common sense preparations. Of course every situation is different, but all of the have a lot in common too.

My prayers certainly go out to the people of Haiti, and to those who are going to be helping.
