Congressman Vic Snyder was first elected to Congress in 1996. Since his first race, he has never won with less than 58% of the vote. And in 2008, he was re-elected without opposition. Nevertheless, he is regarded as one of the most endangered Democrat incumbents because of his districts Republican lean.
According to a new poll by Survey USA, Snyder trails his Republican challenger by a huge margin:

They better hurry up and gerrymander the district.
Holy cow. If guys like this are in trouble, perhaps 40-50 seats is not out of the question, or perhaps even more. I know in Cincy, Jean Schmidt’s main opponents have already refused to run.
We are thinking here in Louisiana, Vitter will beat Melancon 55-45 or better. I’ve not heard what R will be in the driver’s seat for Melancon’s district, but we should be in good shape there, too.

VicSnyder is a prick.
Please clarify when the election is for this person.
There are a number of special elections happening around the country, and I cannot keep up with all of them.
Perhaps, but he appears to be our prick.
Not a a special election, this is for November.
Not a special election, this is for November.
Arkansas Rep. Vic Snyder, a top Republican target in 2010, lags behind his GOP challenger in a Survey USA poll that was in the field Jan. 11 to 13.
Snyder, a Democrat who represents the Little Rock area, trailed Republican Tim Griffin 39 to 56 according to a phone survey commissioned by the liberal blog Firedoglake.
Those numbers combined with the ongoing fundraising disparity in the race certainly won't quell speculation over whether the incumbent might retire rather than run again..
Griffin raked in $130,000 for his campaign in less than two weeks before the Sept. 30 Federal Election Commission filing deadline. One GOP source said last week that Griffin's fourth quarter report would show a haul nearly double his third quarter total.
Snyder, a seven term congressman targeted early in this cycle by the NRCC, has a practice of not raising re-election money in non-election years. CQ Politics currently rates the race Leans Democratic."
That ground shaking felt in Arkansas is coming from the people.
Bye, bye Vic...Bye Bye Blanche...
Ah, but not for long. Announces today he will not seek re-election.
This would be a sweet defeat. Snyder is the most liberal Congressman from Arkansas.
