Here’s a sampling of questions and results from the new Suffolk University/7News Poll that shows Scott Brown leading Martha Coakley by 4 points.

The poll, which surveyed 500 likely registered voters, was conducted Monday to Wednesday. The breakdown of respondents was 39 percent Democrat, 15 percent Republican and 45 percent unenrolled. This survey was conducted by callers and was not a robo-poll, which can be less reliable. The margin of error is 4.4 percent.

In the race for U.S. Senate, who will you vote for?

Scott Brown: 50%

Martha Coakley: 46%

Joseph L. Kennedy: 3%

Undecided: 1%

In your opinion, who won the debates?

Scott Brown: 41%

Martha Coakley: 25%

Joseph L. Kennedy: 2%

Undecided: 31%

Have you seen the Scott Brown political ad comparing himself to John F. Kennedy?

Yes: 59%

No: 41%

How effective was this ad?

Very effective: 13%

Somewhat effective: 23%

Not very effective: 19%

Not at all effective: 42%

Undecided: 3%

Kennedy: 13%

Bush: 28%

Jeez, in that Suffolk poll, Brown is up by 4% despite the sample apparently leaning liberal (giving Deval Patrick a 41% positive rating instead of in the 30s). And Brown’s positive/negative rating continues to amaze.

Looks as thought Deval Patrick is toast as well!!
