That still doesn’t say even the most basic things about her, her family, her upbringing, what is her stake in this district, etc. Her website is under construction?? The primary is coming up fast and she has not even completed her website. No matter what sort of conservative she is, that says a lot about her organizational skills, her ability to get decent help, and many other things. I am not “trashing her” by pointing out the truth and the obvious, which is that she appears to be not ready for prime time. The only other person I know is running whose website I also read is Jim Lee. Are you saying he is not a conservative? If so what makes you say that?
Thanks for the link. She looks to be a very strong candidate in the qualifications dept. What sort of press has she gotten?
Who else is running?
Noooo, you expressed a VERY narrow and negative OPINION!
Next time, try to seek out and inform your OPINION with FACTS.
BTW, this conversation is over — at least from this end.

Nevermind I went and read who else. blech.
Anyway it looks like she has moved up recently according to RCP polling.
Where was that poll? I haven’t been able to find it.
You have to click on her blog page and scroll, she links to RedState which links to the poll results

Thurmond running for Congress
It’s official. Paul Thurmond, son of late U.S. Sen. Strom Thurmond, will run for Congress in the Charleston-based 1st Congressional District.
The race means a Thurmond will run against a Campbell. Carroll “Tumpy” Campbell, son of the late Gov. Carroll Campbell, has also announced.
U.S. Rep. Henry Brown, a Republican who has held the seat since 2000, announced recently his plan to retire. Thurmond, who serves on the Charleston County Council, said he’s already raised $50,000.
Thurmond, an attorney, is a former solicitor. He was elected to Charleston County Council in 2006.
In addition to Campbell and Thurmond, North Myrtle Beach Republican Katherine Jenerette, a former Brown aide and Ryan Buckhannon of Isle of Palms also are running. Charleston Southern University announced Wednesday Stovall Witte, vice president for advancement, has resigned to run for Brown’s seat. Witte is Brown’s former chief of staff.

Jenerette Wins Poll Of Current SC First District Candidates
Theres obviously a friggin cattle call of Palmetto politicians considering (or about to enter) the U.S. First Congressional District race, but of the candidates who had announced their bids before U.S. Rep. Henry Browns surprise retirement announcement a week ago, Tea party activist and military mom Katherine Jenerette (R Myrtle Beach) is the current favorite at least according to Charleston Post and Courier readers.
According to an online poll published by the newspaper this week, Jenerette is supported by 31 percent of respondents compared to 20 percent who are supporting democrat Robert Dobbs.
Another democrat, Robert Burton, received the support of 14 percent of respondents.
Finishing a disappointing fourth place in the poll with 12 percent support was former lobbyist principal Carroll A. Tumpy Campbell III (RINO Columbia).
Clearly, the poll doesnt reveal much of anything at this stage of the race well, other than the fact that Jenerettes got some legitimate insider, grassroots support.

Heads up.
Thanks! As you know in war fighting slash ‘strapping on a fighter jet’ and politics there is no ‘duck-and-cover’ in this Congressional race; it’s going to be hardball and ‘fix-bayonets’ from here on out. I can take a punch!

Airborne!
South Carolina 1st District PING
This Warrior comes highly recommended.
Katherine Jenerette, a commisioned Army officer from the legendary 82nd Airborne Division.
I believe that Katherine has the same character, devotion to country, and commitment to conservative values that Americans have found in Scott Brown.
Katherine's running for Congress in South Carolina's 1st Congressional District, one that stretches along the coast from Charleston all the way up to the North Carolina border.
She is running, just as Scott Brown did, against the concept of family dynasties "owning" a seat and the reality of "good ole boy" politics.
She is an underdog; but I assure you, we will win this contest.
As Katherine says, "I don't fight like a girl; I fight like a PARATROOPER."
Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said today that skeptical Republicans and Democrats should throw their support behind climate change legislation not only because it’s good for the economy and the environment, but because Congress desperately needs a win under its belt.
“We tried immigration. It’s hard. And we failed. We tried Social Security. It’s hard. And we failed. We tried health care. It’s really hard. And it looks like we’re going to have to start over again,” Graham somberly told a luncheon audience of energy and climate advocates on the Hill. “On the energy, climate change front, I don’t want to add that to the list. There is no reason in my mind that the Republican Party and the Democratic Party can’t come together.”

Would you please add my name to the SC ping list? My brother, Father and Mom are moving there. Three more solid Conservatives to add to your voting block. Who knows - the way things are here in Boston I might end up there too.
Katherine J....Freeper. Go K.J.!
