WASHINGTON Vice President Joe Biden wont be coming to Dallas on Friday after all.
A fundraising reception he was supposed to headline for Senate Democrats with the embattled majority leader, Nevada Sen. Harry Reid has been postponed until late March, Democratic operatives said.
The invitation from the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee asked for donations up to $30,400, and offered a chance to spend some time with Biden, Reid, Senate Finance Chairman Max Baucus of Montana, who has shepherded the health care bill, and Sen. Mary Landrieu of Louisiana.
On Thursday, President Barack Obama asked Biden to visit South Florida to meet with Haitian-Americans and emergency workers who will be sent to Haiti as part of the earthquake relief effort. Biden will visit New Orleans on Friday to announce new hurricane recovery efforts.
The combination apparently squeezed out any possibility of a Dallas side trip.

Biden doesn’t even know he’s in Texas. He’s thinking he’s greeting a group of 7-11 workers.

Haiti? Bush's Fault! /sarc
Dallas, Austin and Houston are hotbeds for Dems, as well as being sanctuary cities.
Sickens me, as I was born and raised in Dallas and used to be proud to say so.
Watched on PBS tonight a GOP debate for Texas Governor race held at Univ. of North Texas. Debate included Perry, Hutchison and Medina. ....At one point, Perry admonished one of the others after she said that the Dallas Morning News had reported “blah, blah, blah”. He was almost laughing when he said he couldn’t believe she would trust anything reported in the DMN. LOL! .....Hutchison was a typical sniping D.C. politician as she constantly blasted Perry instead of just answering the questions being asked. What a harpy!
