If he is so conservative... why is he a democrat?

“Brewer campaign spokesman Doug Cole welcomed Martin to the race for the Republican nomination, which also includes former Board of Regents President John Munger, Paradise Valley Mayor Vernon Parker and National Rifle Association board member Owen “Buz” Mills.”
Martin is a Republican.
