I agree that Steele is taking heat and it’s mostly from the Rino elites. He is in the position where he’s hearing the voice of Americans and he believes it’s real. The Rinos still have their heads in the sand. They can’t hear us and they think Steele has lost his mind. Like Ostriches, “Discontent? I don’t hear any discontent.”

The hair thing for me is connected to a course I once took on style. With her hair down, serious people will not see her as a serious person. In the position that she has, she needs everything in her arsenal to make her appear more like a leader. Hair around a woman’s face narrows her features and “closes” her in. It makes her appear submissive and undermines her authority.

I’ve found fault with Steele’s leadership, but not for the same reasons several here have expressed. I thought his stints at Fox News would have made him a more articulate and commanding speaker, but it didn’t. I think we were in too much of a rush to put a black face in our party’s leadership and in doing so, we jumped the gun by choosing Michael Steele. I think Ken Blackwell would have been the better choice. Too late now. Sarah is right.

I sure do agree about Ken Blackwell. I can’t believe how the GOP has ignored him. He’s one of the best politicians in the GOP. He saved Bush in Ohio.
