Any normal person would fire the on-staff thug and apologize, but Coakley feigns ignorance of the incident and vaguely implies the victim is at fault. I’d never heard of this person until a few weeks ago. It’s shocking that such a disgraceful person has even been nominated for high office.
If for some reason the story sounds more interesting as “Obama Administration Official Shoves Reporter To The Ground” that would be just as accurate.

President Obama Announces More Key Administration Posts, 11/18/09
Michael P. Meehan, Member, Broadcasting Board of Governors
She’s not normal, you’re right. Did you see the first question the reporter asked her? It was about her claim that the terrorists had left Afghanistan. She looked at the questioner for a moment and then looked away asking if anyone else had any questions.
She’s not only an elitist snot, but she is a lousy politician. Even a mealy-mouthed convoluted mess (like she did in the debate) would be better than blatantly pretending she didn’t hear the question!
Expect a miracle!
Boston has a paper that is not tied to the Dems...amazing.
agreed, there was talk that the “One” was coming here to campaign this weekend. I think they learned their lesson in NJ and VA
this thug Meehan has been around MA politics for awhile. He was on Liveshot Kerry’s presidental campaign

Meanwhile Martha Coakleys team has produced a very slick, very dramatic TV ad that all but suggests Scott Brown would personally padlock hospital doors when rape victims show up seeking treatment.
Ah, but in the storied tradition of negative ads this one is as noteworthy for what it leaves out as for what it includes. Allow us to fill in the blanks.
Back in 2005 the state Senate debated a bill that would require hospitals to dispense the so-called morning-after pill to rape victims - a bill that Brown supported.
What they are not telling you is, Scott supported a amendment that would allow Catholic hosptials to not dippense the morning after pill because of their views on abortion. The amendment would require them to tell the victim what close by hospitals would help them. Very reasonable in my mind.
I'm praying for one!
Oh yeah and it's a delight!
Martha Coakley reminds me of the Democratic sock puppet Senator we have in Washington State, “Osama Momma” Patty Murray.
To make matters even worse, she KNEW this was the very reporter who's question she refused to answer. She had just glared right at him. During questioning didn't she motion to a staffer as well?
I wish I could be in that reporter’s place for a millisecond, that geek’s right knee would be completely ruined... along with the rest of him shortly thereafter...
It is obvious neither one of those fellows know how to fight.
He’s another lobbyist going to work in Sheik Obama’s posse, even though he said during the campaign that this would never happen.
He also said to judge him by the people who surround him. I most certainly do.
Al Franken did the same thing years ago at (I think) a Dean rally, and is now in the US Senate. Thanks Ernest.
On the other hand, the reporter crumpling to the ground, completely helpless does far more damage politically than if he had retaliated. If he had hit back, then the campaign would have tried to justify the event based on the thought that he was a threat.
Even attacked, he didn't try to defend himself. He was no threat whatsoever.
