Lou Dobbs tells ‘Nightline’ he’s considering run for president

Lou Dobbs is thinking about a run for president in 2012, the former CNN anchor tells ABCs Nightline.
I was thinking about running for office, thinking about politics, Dobbs tells Terry Moran. A number of people have asked me to think about president, Senate, and as I have said, its flattering. Its heavy stuff. And I would be lying if I told you I wasnt enamored at various junctures of my thinking, with the idea.
Nightline airs at 11:35 tonight on WFTV-Channel 9.
Dobbs acknowledges some uncertainty about trying to attain the White House and whether hes qualified.
I think one of the most important qualifications, I am starting to believe, is first that the person not want it, Dobbs says. Weve got too many people who want that job. That job requires a sense of ambition of political purpose that I think is an enigma for most America. The idea that you think you are the best person of 300 million people to run this nation? I guarantee you, I dont think that.

Go ahead and run, Fatso. Maybe your wife will vote for you.

Okay, if you wanna give it a try, Lou. But I’d prefer a Palin/Beck ticket over Palin/Dobbs.

Ummm... sorry... no experience at all... :-)
Everyone has their own area of expertise to be in. For Dobbs, I don't think it's President of the United States.

I’m beginning to see a trend on FR.
1) Someone posts about any person running for any office.
2) Everyone finds reasons why they shouldn’t.

He’s free to do so but it won’t be under the GOP banner. Being an independent gives him more cred but his idiotic illegal immigration statements after he left CNN will haunt him.

Dobbs is an old-fashioned Democrat leftist.
He's not going to take away votes from the Republican if he runs. Personally I don't think he's going to run anyway.
Lou needs a med adjustment

What this country needs is for Duncan Hunter Sr. to seriously consider and then be backed by the whole conservative end of the Republican party, what's left of it, along with most of the Republican Party and Independents.
If you ask me why. Let me appeal to the best at this site that urged us all to vote for him the last time as to why he would be a best candidate. Solid conservative views, strong on somehow turning back the clock and encouraging American companies to move back to the USA, super strong on national defense, etc..
He could perhaps borderline on being another Ronny, with the right pick of cabinet and a Republicans regaining both sides of the Hill over the next few years.
Even perhaps be willing to reverse all the shit the Kenyan is establishing via. executive orders. I must sign off in a few minutes. Work will come early. Do have a great upcoming day if possible.
I'm no political hack. But I am sixty three and have followed closely for the most part how this Republic has slide down the tubes for a long time. Time is running out.
