I think the author has confused him with Richardson. An error like this is enough to make me hit the BACK button. What other inaccuracies are there that I might not be aware of and therefore accept as fact?
If he’s getting Holbrooke confused w/ former Gov. Richardson, the Gov. was definitely NOT a supporter of legal drug use that I knew of. If I remember correctly, he ran against Gov. Gary Johnson (a Republican!), & it was Johnson what criticized that Drug War. I think that was one of the reasons Richardson (who also is a CFR member) used to run against Johnson, but I could be wrong.
