Is it a requirement that in order to be a journalist you have to be a wimp as well? True, the thug is the bigger of the two but look at how many times he left his groin unprotected! The journalist held his hands up as though he were under arrest or he's doing his French Surrender improvisation.And look where it has gotten him, and the position in which it has placed the Coakley campaign. If he'd given Michael Meehan a swift kick in the kneecap, you can guarantee he'd be stewing in a DC prison right now, and the LeftMedia would be shredding his personal reputation and attacking his upbringing. Any thought of Meehan's initial attack in shoving him to the ground would be right down the memory hole.

You're right, of course. His wimpiness gave him the moral high ground here.
But once, just once, I'd like to see a journalist with a fist as big as their mouth take down one of these lefty thugs. I'd replay it over and over. ;)
