That's why ya gotta have a key in your hand.... you just get up and let him get real close.. right up to him so that there is no space at all. Turn your head to the right, bring your right hand to your head and wipe away from your runny nose and then to "steady yourself" by grabbing his shoulder.
Make sure you are chest up and keep your right leg outside of his left leg , like dancing.... then thank him and bring your knee up as hard as you can and start coughing... a lot.
Then as he's bent over, slap him as hard as you can on his right ear with your open hand as your coughing..... keep coughing ,
Most of the ladies that take self defense know that then , stick the key in his face as he turns left..... and pull....
The only way you beat a bully is by fighting him. That reporter is just trying to do his job, so was the thug. I like bullies. The ones you have to worry about are the ones that you can't see.
Please, for any conservatives that are at rallies or other "meetings".. take video so that you can show self defense. This democrat strong arm guy is just 60 years to late and missing his brown shirt.
