Hi ST, long time no see! (Because I haven’t had time to check in in a long time.:-)

Have you researched the issue of Haiti having Satanic assistance in its beginning? I’ve never had occasion to do so before now and even now I have scant time to devote to it. A quick search on (haiti pact devil -robertson) shows that Pat Robertson certainly didn’t start the story. It has been around for a long, long time. Is it true? I have no idea.

I do get irritated, though, at Christians who immediately declare a fellow Christian to be an idiot/moron/buffoon the moment he says something contrary to mainstream secular thought. They’re so worried about what the secular world will think of us that they don’t really consider what was said.

Christians who think God doesn’t curse nations, who think He doesn’t judge nations, need to spend more time in the Bible. He does. Christians who think Satan doesn’t have the power and the will to make deals, also need to spend some more time in the Bible, because he does have both the power and the will. And when we consider that, why would we so quickly declare Robertson an idiot, without giving him the benefit of doing a little research? He didn’t start the story and it’s not some fringe story only found in the deepest darkest corners of the Internet. It’s widespread with a long life.

Well, I didn’t mean to ramble, LOL!

MM

Nice to hear from you...

Yeah, it's the "liberal worldview" that some FReepers have here, when it comes to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and what He does in our world. And also, it's the same "liberal/leftist worldview" that some posters here support, in rejecting that there are evil angels and demons active in this world (of course, along with God's righteous angels, too).

They seem to think that we're the only "beings" here on this world, which is a typical leftist/liberal worldview, which is used to reject the Word of God and what it tells us...

And, for the record, I don't support Pat Robertson and neither do I watch him. But, if someone says something that is true, I'm going to support the "truth of the matter" regardless of whom it is. And that would be pretty much what I would be doing here.

In regards to research into Haiti's voodoo/witchcraft/Satanic practices, I have not researched it. I've only read on numerous occasions information given on it from Christian pastors, teachers and researchers. I've never wanted to go very deeply into that subject.
