The legitimacy of the traffic courts ended when they were disconnected from the jury system, which protects the citizenry from legal “professionals”.
Now, you can try to defend this steaming pile of horse shit all day long, and on a conservative forum that is not going to fly. The abuses are too well documented.
Acquitted when innocent? Aught to be. But often isn't. And you personally are in a position to know that, yet you attempted to gloss over the corruption that has crept into much of the system. Shame on you.
I’m sorry you have such a low opinion of judges and prosecutors. I personally have served with well-principled, ethical, moral men and women who take seriously Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Section 2.21, “The job of a prosecutor is not to convict, but to ensure justice is done”. I consider myself one of them.
