No doubt about it-Rush has been saying this for years. And, when you think about it, it’s a religion not unlike the faith of the American Indian tribes of early American history through the 19th century and the descendants thereof, even today.

izzatzo;
"...when you think about it, it’s a religion not unlike the faith of the American Indian tribes of early American history through the 19th century and the descendants thereof, even today."

Now I'll have to disagree with you there. I'm certainly no expert on American Indians or their various religions but your statement reveals not just a lack a study, but swallowing whole the gaia theory usurping of all things Native American to lend credence to the false global warming hysteria.

American Indians lived off the land. They experienced survival of the fittest on a daily basis, not just in a personal way but in everything around them. That type of survival has been homogenized over time into what we know as capitalism.

That they might develop a respect, a reverence, or a religion based on the wonders of staying alive in such a dangerous world shouldn't surprise.

Placing 'Mother Earth' where others have Allah, Abraham, or Jesus, is no reason to judge. Michael Mann, James Lovelock, David Suzuki, and Al Gore are not Native Americans, and combined they probably know less than you and I do about Native American Religion.
