Pinging the lot of you as you were interested in the initial “Young Americans” documentary posts and/or were interested in Pat Dollard’s initial dispatches from Iraq articles... please spread the word. This is the documentary that he wanted to put out years ago, but Showtime wanted to muck up and slant. Americans need to see these videos... the initial delays may work for the best if this series can help inform and shape public debate over Afghanistan, especially with the current admin seeking retreat and failure.
Not sure how I got on this ping list, but I’m glad I did. Just reading this text makes me want to read/see more from Dollard:
“But not before the Democrat political establishment killed many young Americans by encouraging the enemy to keep fighting by endlessly dangling the tantalizing promise of a forced media and Congress-driven surrender. Theres not much lower humanity than a person who will cost his country a war, (and in this case, the lives of those who have died in the fight that he has worsened and prolonged), for the sake of any personal gain, be it political, financial, whatever. There are people in Washington, D.C. who are guilty of treason, plain and simple.”
That is so damned spot-on it’s unbelievable. Why didn’t we hear stuff like that from Republican leaders, all the way up to Bush, while it was happening?
1counter, you may find this interesting.
