I think I bought mine, a Cobra, in 1990. It probably has less than 100 rounds through it. Put it away after getting married and having kids and just getting back into shooting.
The Cobra, Agent, Detective Special, Police Positive, Viper and Diamondback are similar medium frame handguns.
The larger frame Python was sold through 1996 although a few were sold through the Colt Custom Shop. Colt sold a Python Hunter and Python Silhouette fitted with Leupold scopes. The Silhouette was sold with a black luggage type case. If you see one of these, hock your car and bring it home.
