Many of us are not eligible to join Oathkeepers, which is for active and retired military and police.
It's a good suggestion for those who are, but probably ignores 2/3 of the people on Free Republic and 7/8 of the total citizenry.
if you really think that we'll have a shtf disruption in our government, then putting your name on a list that can easily be infiltrated by agent provocateurs is the wrong thing to do. What exactly are the "oathkeepers" going to do.... nothing. Sit around and yap about this or that, tell each other that the time is coming to "do something" and then what? Nothing. I'd look at other options if I was really serious, with just making sure that the elections are not rigged. That would be the most efficient method to reverse this disaster.
Can't anybody look around any more and learn from the current experts, terrorists and "progressives" (ACORN, Black Panthers, muslims, Direct Action, Animal activists...)
