Remember when the local Chinese military(!) refused to attack in Tienanmen Square? The government sent them elsewhere and brought in units from far away places who weren't "neighbors" or family and didn't really know what was going on so they'd believe what the government told them? They attacked.
Given our enemedia control of the majority of "news"/propaganda, many of the guard troops from Pennsylvania or Illinois who will not know the citizens of Arizona or South Carolina may just believe that a bunch of armed "racists" or "terrorists" have arisen to destroy our country. Maybe they would fire on us which our own red state guard or regular military would not. Maybe.
“This can’t be good...and there is no reason for it unless they are either planning a constitutional crisis, or they expect one.”
My guess is that the constitutional crisis could come on Jan 20, 2010 if/when they refuse to seat the newly elected Senator Scott Brown from Massachusetts.
Hee hee.
But, how will it look politically? He won't be able to claim the ever important bipartisanship.
The government has been taken over by hostile forces. At this point I don’t believe congress is even calling the shots any more.
Yes, but the 90 million don't have tanks, armored cars, armored planes and very large weapons.
NO
It cheers me to know that somewhere, there's a reactor core with his name on it.
“The regional governors will control their teritories...that and fear of this battlestation(Acorn storm troopers)”....Governor Moff(Obama) Tarkin
just sayin’
MI is going to have a Republican governor next year.
Yes but perhaps 1.5 million have any real battle training or experience,,,,the other 1.5 million are administrative paper pushers, pentagon wonks, cooks and medical personell.
3 million divided by 50 states is 60 thousand per state. It took a surge of some 40 or 50 thousand troops on top of the 120 thousand already in Iraq just to bring things under control there. Plus if things broke out in this country...new recruits would dry up.
The control freaks would have to resort to nukes or the threat of them to bring the country to heel!
“Probably a monetary collapse or crisis on an Argentina 2002 scale. Thats my guess.”
Not a bad guess.. I believe we discussed Argentina a couple of weeks ago.
A friend of mine in KL, Malaysia e mailed me six months ago that most Asian financiers believe Obama is out to destroy the dollar.
“But, how will it look politically? He won’t be able to claim the ever important bipartisanship. “
You mean like Obamacare? ;-)
Wonder who pulled the puppet string on this one?
Yes, this is what this implies.
If they subjugate the governors legally then they can countermand anything a governor does, essentially making it impossible for a state to nullify a fed order.
At the same time if they are creating parallel structures of command and control to the ones that already exist then at some point the feds can shut down the existing govt entities and put its own fully-controlled and extra-constitutional infrastructure in to full power.
This is very, very frightening. Smart but completely corrupt.
We need to learn more about this and any other action to set up parallel control structures and state-nullifying measures.
Many Americans came to that conclusion over a year ago.
We'll need a trustworthy and secure method to do this.
It'll take work and serious thought for just how to do it while keeping the privacy of the FReepers intact and somehow not include the trolls...
“a monetary collapse or crisis”
More like Venezuela right now. Devalued currency and a 2 tier exchange rate. already panicked buying going on.
Just my take on it.
He gave that up long ago. It isn't even much of a pretense anymore. He is in full single-party dictator mode and he doesn't much care who knows it. He might even want people to start noticing just how much power he has amassed so quickly.
“Many Americans came to that conclusion over a year ago. “
Myself included. The point being is Obama is not fooling anyone around the world.
