Sad, but not shocking.
We have been obsessed with those damn phones and computers (only in the last couple years “texting” - I cringe at that “word”).
Why we allow children to regularly have these devices I do not know. I do not think my son should even be allowed to carry them around every day, much less “own” 1.
I finally had to relent on texting for my daughter. Her coach will only communicate with the girls via texting. We limit her to 300/month, which she thinks horrible.
The boy, has his texting blocked. He thought he was just unpopular until his sister broke the news.
My kids think I’m completely weird, which makes me think I am probably doing something right.
I have a 12 , 14 &16 year old. None of whom have a cell phone. just got their first computers and aren’t allowed on internet without my knowing.
and I absolutely have a number one rule! NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO SAY “DUDE” IN MY EARSHOT!
