A black guy I knew went to a black doctor. He was pretty sick, but this black doctor was like a supermarket butcher...

Must have gotten into med school under affirmative action. Not sure if he knew an eye from an ear.

Therein lies the real problem.

We can let the unqualified in upper-tier schools, and by the time they have reached college, the damage to the really bright students is minimal. But, you can't make the unqualified any smarter.

Best of all, really bright people are very good at assessing the intelligence of their peers. Affirmative action may gain someone a degree and a job, but when his peers understand the sham, he becomes sidetracked.
