“...should have contained a bibliography since the ideas and even some of the language were not original?&rdquo

No. But I sure hate it when people give credit to Jefferson when none is due, and ignore Washington's greater contribution.

____________________________________________________________ “Apparently borrowed upon heavily by Jefferson...”

In his writing of the Declaration of Independence, NOT the Bill of Rights, which he had nothing to do with. George Mason is rightly called the “The Father of the Bill of Rights.”

____________________________________________________________ “...are you submitting the Virginia Declaration is the first declaration ever penned concerning natural rights?”

Was it the first declaration of rights? No, but it was the first such declaration to have the force of law in America.

____________________________________________________________ “In any case, not that difficult to find and post. Why didn't you do it...?”

I didn't post the Virginia Declaration because it was TOO LONG! That's why I told people to look it up.
Perhaps if I'd thought about more, it might have made a good discussion thread, but most people dislike excessively long commentary posts.

As I watch the video (Part 1), I wonder where that country and Constitution are.....Certainly not this country.

During 1942 & 1943, my brother and I were living with our Grandparents, since Dad was in the Pacific and Mom was 14 hrs a day in a defense plant. I clearly remember the animated conversations amongst my Grandparents as they, rhetorically, were asking the same question.

A particularly sore point, with the second Roosevelt socialist President, was the rape of the remnants of the former Constitution by stealing money directly out of the workers paycheck. I remember the predictions that "temporary" really meant forever...

Yep! The country and society envisioned by the Founders has really been gone since the first decade of the 20th century. I'm more convinced every day that the chaos resulting from Apophis is our only hope for being in a postition to re-construct/restore the Republic.
