“But she is a divisive political figure who not only draws the ire of liberals but some Republicans, including staffers who deal with her during her run as John McCain’s running mate. Steve Schmidt, a top McCain strategist, said on “60 Minutes” last night that “there were numerous instances that she said things that were — that were not accurate that ultimately, the campaign had to deal with.”

TYPICAL carping leftists, hoping ONCE AGAIN, the GOP will eat its own.

NOT THIS TIME.

She has too much support - among GOP AND Tea Party People.

not only draws the ire of [inherently elitist] liberals but some [elitist] Republicans as well.

“And oddly, most of them have nothing on their “about” page here at FR. I always have wondered about that.”

I honestly believe they spend their day looking for any quote, article or headline they can use to make their anti-Palin comments and when they find it - they jump on it like a shark to fresh meet. Who are these people? I don't know. Maybe DU Trolls, maybe Romney or Huckster die hards, it doesn't matter. There is no changing their minds.

“better off burnishing her policy credentials” What happens when she gets into a bind by being asked a question she doesn’t know how to answer? This could be any number of things from the Constitution to stem cells. I didn’t have time to brush up?

You were saying ...

Ok this story is TRUE! Greta just confirmed it

Very cool!

Now we're gonna have to keep track of Sarah when she's on Fox... and if she gets a show of her own, then I'm marking that one down on my DVR at home!!

Steve Schmidt, a top McCain strategist, said on "60 Minutes" last night that "there were numerous instances that she said things that were -- that were not accurate that ultimately, the campaign had to deal with."

Remember that name: Steve Schmidt. Since he worked for McCain, we can assume that he likes to earn his living doing consulting for Republican candidates.

Let us resolve, therefore, that the name "Steve Schmidt" is henceforth mud, and that he-who-hires-Steve-Schmidt will have unending opposition from everyone to the right of Lindsey Graham.

The sort of "Republicans" (like McCain, and this Schmidt fellow) who will dump on their fellow GOPers in a heartbeat if it will gain them a pat on the head from CBS News or the New York Times, are not the sort of Republicans that Republicans need. They are the sort of Republicans that Democrats need. To Hell with them.

Sarah just confirmed it..

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin has signed a multi-year deal with FOX News to serve as a contributor across all FOX News platforms, announced Bill Shine, Executive Vice President of Programming.

In making the announcement, Shine said, “Governor Palin has captivated everyone on both sides of the political spectrum and we are excited to add her dynamic voice to the FOX News lineup.” As a contributor, Palin will provide political commentary and analysis for FOX News Channel (FNC), FOX Business Network (FBN), FOXNews.com, and FOX News-produced special event political programming for FOX Broadcasting.

In addition, she will host periodic episodes of FNC’s “Real American Stories,” a series exploring inspirational real-life tales of overcoming adversity throughout the American landscape that will debut in 2010.

Palin added, “I am thrilled to be joining the great talent and management team at FOX News. It’s wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news.”

FoxNews ratings will go through the ROOF!

The MSM will have to stop reporting ratings, then. We can't have the likes of Olbermann being humiliated, can we?

There was a posting sometime this weekend about “Concern Trolls” and the like. The main point was that some people start out saying, “I really like Palin, and I think she is a great person, BUT, I can't see her beating the machine, the democrats, the image, the book, Bambi, the perception, the overwhelming fear and loathing...” Name it.

I understand that some people have reservations, but most of this stuff is just so transparent, talking points, repeat the same stupid stuff. Enough already, just say “I am not a Palin fan” and leave it at that.

” “She will also host an occasional program that will examine inspirational tales involving ordinary Americans.”

Hmmmm, I think she should stay with politics. No one thinks Oprah would be a good President. I just fell she would be diluting herself. Looking forward to seeing her, though.”

One of JFK’s greatest “achievements” was writing “Profiles in Courage”

If she does something like that, it’s a winner.
