Depends on what views you are talking about. I know many LDS who agree with him on abortion, gay marriage (b/c a win on gay marriage will lead to a legalization of polygamy), socialism (United Order) and even racism.
"Many" is an ambiguous term. Mormons vote 4 to 1 Republican. And yes, there may be some Republican proponents of polygamy, but not a whole lot.
