3). pertaining to or connected with a monastic or religious order.
4). appropriate to religion or to sacred rites or observances

I think I can argue coherently that he is not devout (earnest or sincere),conscientious (just, upright, honest, faithful), or godly (conforming to the laws and wishes of God)

I will grant you he goes to church and gives testimony. I guess that's something.
