Well, yeah. I’d expect a 6.5 to make the news.
However, from the looks of it, if they reported every little bit of seismic activity, that’s all that would fill the paper.

I had a home up for sale in Clayton/Concord.
Just happen to hit my first hour of vacation up at the Sonoma Mission Inn.
First break I had in 2yrs and I will never forget the water tower outside of my room swaying side to side and thinking if I run it will fall on me regardless.
The surgeon that had to cut those two lil kids out of the car (literally body parts off) on the collapsed bridge was one of my sons Docs from Oak. Childrens Hosp.
That was a scary one esp being seperated from family and all the phone lines tied up.

Usually they are just a rumble..but the great SF and Northridge were devastating.
I was there also. It was intense.

I just got off the phone with tubebender in Eureka. He’s shaken, but okay.
He had a bunch of damage inside the house, but no apparent structural damage. Bookshelf fell over, lots of stuff fell out of shelves, TVs fell of the wall mounts... not good.
Power’s out, cells are out. He wanted me to let y’all know he and his family are okay.

We have a emerg response radio and no warning has come over it in regards to tsunami.
I would think that close to us up the here on the Oregon Coast (where those dang Sea Lions ended up LOL) the emerg radio would have gone off.
