This is a must-read opinion, backed up by a world-class education at the University of Notre Dame. Dr. Gaski is an Associate Professor, Mendoza College of Business, University of Notre Dame, and a LIFE-LONG Democrat.
I have posted the url for Solid Principles and the article in its entirety may be found there, or go to American Thinker and read the ENTIRE article. It's time to pull our heads out of the sand and shake off the residual.

A nice write up. Realize that this has been the aim of the dim party for decades. Many people saw it. We raised alarms about it over and over again...and no one would listen. So I guess it is an improvement that BOR has finally started figuring it out. He is all I have come to expect from a Harvard post grad.

This is a very good read. It coincides with my husband’s opinion about the upcoming elections and ACORN. It also explains why the Democrats APPEAR to be so STUPID.
It is, indeed, time to seriously think the unthinkable.

Good article, but like a majority of the commenters on American Thinker, I disagree with the conclusion. The results are NOT inevitable. Americans don’t like fraud and deceit even though some of the less intelligent of Americans are truly clueless.....
All politics is local—each and every one of us needs to ensure our state and local elections officials are on the up and up. The Demons have had a “Secretary of State Project” in the works since 2000 and it is indeed working for them. Why can’t we have our own?
Another thing we must do is educate our apolitical friends. I have many friends who are extremely intelligent but are absolutely clueless about politics. It is up to us!

Another part of their plan is to make "healthcare" so expensive with this bill that the average family will not be able to buy the mandatory insurance without a government subsidy. To provide this subsidy the government will "necessarily" need to raise taxes leaving you less money to use outside the system (blackmarket).
This is also the plan with "Cap and Trade". Remember "commander zero's" telling statement: "Under my plan electricity rates will necessarily skyrocket."?
The average family will not be able to heat or cool a home or pay for gas for the car without a government subsidy and the government will "need" to raise taxes to provide that subsidy.
They will now have you by the cajones and your liberty will be a faint memory; pleasantly and painfully remembered.
Freedom, after all, carries with it risk and responsibility which can be quite scary.
Wouldn't it be so much easier to let "dear leader" and those smarter than us assume that risk for us?

Zero new material here. Just the same pattern freepers have pointing out for years. And as usual, it ignores the counter proscribed by Von Clausewitz

The November 2010 election will be the telling moment. If it becomes apparent that the ballot box doesn’t matter, a significant number of citizens will become more apathetic and drop out of the election process. Another significant number will seek other solutions. The dynamic will determine both what form of government we have going forward and how stable it is.

All of the rhetoric about how the American people won't tolerate fraud is nice but erroneous. The vast majority of Americans are “sheeple” and will just acquiesce to the next phase of totalitarian rule. If anyone believes that change is going to happen by way of elections, then I have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn.
