Unruly man grounds AirTran flight

The unruly and allegedly drunk passenger who forced an emergency landing of an AirTran jet flying from Atlanta to San Francisco Friday is being held over the weekend in anticipation of federal charges being filed Monday.

Muhammad Abu Tahir, 46, of Virginia was transported to the El Paso, Co. County jail where he will be detained on a federal hold, said FBI officials.

Federal charges for interference with a flight crew are expected to be filed, FBI spokeswoman Kathleen Wright told the AJC Friday night.

The incident occurred on AirTran flight #39 as the plane neared Colorado Springs, Co. AirTran spokesman Tad Hutcheson told the AJC Friday afternoon. The Boeing 737 was almost four hours into the flight, and had 132 passengers and five crew on board.

I don’t think I want to fly on any plane that has a middle-eastern-looking male on it. That would solve the problem, because every single one of the disruptions and attempted attacks have been by middle-eastern men. I would just walk up and down the aisle and if I found one of them I would get off and demand my money back.

My guess is this Muhammad individual was pissed off at AirTran for refusing Muslims a few days earlier to fly. So he got drunk, and purposely caused a commotion, another Muslim With An Attitude, another Islamic With A Chip On His Shoulder.

Either way, he is part of a terrorist cell near Richmond VA influenced by Al-Alawaki, or he essentially did their bidding to once again test our air systems and provide them with valuable information on the nature of our soft targets.
