It looks like the fix is in on national health-care reform - and it all may unfold on Beacon Hill.
At a business forum in Boston today, interim Sen. Paul Kirk predicted that Congress would pass a health-care reform bill this month.
We want to get this resolved before President Obamas State of the Union address in early to mid-February, Kirk told reporters at a Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce breakfast.
The longtime aide and confidant of the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, who was handpicked by Gov. Deval Patrick after a controversial legal change to hold Kennedys seat, vowed to vote for the bill even if Republican state Sen. Scott Brown, who opposes the health-care reform legislation, prevails in a Jan. 19 special election.

God Love You!!!!!!
LOL, you guys:-)
Only the Senate can seat a Senator. In theory, they could seat him right away even if the Secretary of State refused to certify, but Scott Brown couldn’t take an oath even before Chief Justic. Roberts and vlaim to be seated as a Senator.
These people suck.
PING!

You make one mistake in your post.
They are not people.
Whoops, sorry bout dat!
Right. And hold on to your money—it would be wasted if all you care about is the health bill. What is it with this paper? I didn’t think it was this bad.
They are a sub-species of human. A mobile lifeform, similar to a virus, only more devious.
I live in a country that’s worse off than Massachusetts and we have the exact same question. I’ve been burned too many times over the years by folks who said the exact same things.
If he’s not personally prolife, how can I trust him to stand firm for the unborn? I realise you want to vote for the best conservative, and I understand that position. I’ve had to vote for candidates that I regard as peculiar and offensive, when the alternative was far worse.
There is a difference between voting for someone and supporting them with my money. If you can prevail on him to endorse the prolife position from a personal standpoint then I will be more than happy to do all I can to assist him.
“I know a person wintering here in San Diego from Boston and voted absentee for Scott Brown”
Thanks for the heads up. I thought I had missed the deadline. The Brown campaign is having an absentee ballot sent to my house. I’ll be out of here as soon as I get it. Thanks.
Yes, but the dems make it such that they military vote doesn’t get counted!
Worse...
Worse...
You are welcome!
You’re probably right. The only thing the skrill stole was people’s minds.
Liberals have no souls!
There’s a difference between not voting and not donating. By all means vote for him, just I’m not going to give the money I have to help him unless he’s prolife.
Liberals ware willing to cheat in order to get their totalitarian scheme passed.
Brown should win Tuesday, then sue the Commonwealth. Nikki Tsongas was elected, certified, and sworn in within two days. Clearly, they can do that when they want to. They can’t practice discriminatory certification based on political affiliation.
