I know.
The poor kids today have no idea
what an innocent, carefree childhood
really is.
Sad ..
We were at a huge outdoor charity event (35,000 people) a few weeks after 9/11.
There were armed sharpshooters on the roofs surrounding the venue, armed troops on the trains, and armed men mingling in the crowd.
There were little kids kicking a soccer ball around, tossing a beach ball. Just having fun.
It was the saddest realization that their lives had changed forever.
