My first response was no, but it would take a modern miracle to get a real conservative elected in NY. There just aren’t any that would have a shot at winning this race. Rudy would have been better because he could have brought some firepower on a lot of our key issues, but he’s not a conservative on a bunch of other issues and may end up pissing us off when voted with the Dems on guns and social issues.

Susan was a pretty good Rep and could actually give Gillibrand a run for her money. Interesting development.

The debates would be fun. Gillibrand is an obvious lightweight. Say what you will about Molinari, she’s tough.

Freepers in the actually-free part of the country should realize that conservatives are hard to come by in New York. And, yes, I know that I could move to South Carolina (it'd be my first choice). But family reasons and sentimentality keep me here and I would take Molinari over Gillibrand in the proverbial New York minute.
