I agree - Sarah Palin would be EXCELLENT in this position. She’s got the conservative “part” down, plus she’d probably be very adept at rounding up the people needed to support candiates and get out the vote!
Steele, while a nice guy, has proven to be incapable of bringing “energy” to the party. “Fired” is a good choice!
He needs to talk like that to those who are violating conservative principles (but then he would need a mirror) instead he gives abortion supporters donated monies!
Punch out Jack, YOU'RE FIRED!
If I could vote, it would be...
YOUR FIRED
NY23 you douche nozzle / get out before we man the pitchforks on Nov 3
Sorry to post this but, you are fired Mr. Steele. I am another who is bitterly disappointed by your performance.
The RNC needs a CONSERVATIVE leader who isn’t preoccupied with getting along with liberals and RINOs.
As has been said on numerous occasions, conservatism is the biggest tent there is - open to all who love this country, its Constitution, and all the liberty that comes from living in the greatest country in the history of mankind.
Mr. Steele, why was that point so hard to embrace and articulate???
I want democrats removed from the seats of power. I believe conservatives can do that if we stand together and stop knuckling under to democrats and their media propagandists.
Long Live Tea Parties!!!!
how about a campaign on FR that sends him cards stating “youre fired”
If they don’t fire him now, it’s clear the national Republican party is on a suicide mission.
He’s finding a spine?
Fire Steele and replace him with a black conservative that has ties with the Tea Party movement.
I like the “fire him” option...
And saying publicly that the GOP can’t win back Congress in ‘10 and he doesn’t know if they’re ready for/deserve leadership again is keeping things inside the party?
Get the guy out!
In Medieval times, when someone in the village became impossible to live with, the rest of the village would set fire to his home to drive him away. Thus, "fired."
Go "spend more time with the family".
"I am opposed to the health care legislation that is under consideration in Congress and will vote against it. It will raise taxes, increase government spending and lower the quality of care, especially for elders on Medicare. I support strengthening the existing private market system with policies that will drive down costs and make it easier for people to purchase affordable insurance."
I will say that he has given more credance to RomneyCare for my tastes, but as for the national version, he is against - and I've heard him talk about it numerous times in person to my complete satisfaction.
Don’t know how he gets the NRC Chair job. If he is appointed someway by NRC members then the “fire me or shut up” rant is simply a rant. The Demrat Party, through its RINO surrogates, control the GOP/NRC. For them Steele is perfect for the job.
Good idea.
Replace Steele with Herman Cain.
