N. Korean Tank Unit Engaged in Mock Attack on S. Korea While Kim Jong-il Watching
N. Korean leader Kim Jong-il watched the training exercise by a battalion of 105th Tank Division(full name is longer,) according to the Jan. 5 report of N. Korea's Central TV. The pictures show such markings as "Honam Express Way" "Cholla Namdo" (mock S. Korean road signs.)

The marking next to the tank says, "Central Express Way: Chunchon to Pusan 374km"

Below two tanks passing by, there is another marking, barely legible, saying, "Honam Express Way..."

N. Korean military always do winter exercises. What is unusual is that they bother to show markings with S. Korean road signs. It is clearly designed to show belligerence to S. Korea, and maintain tension.
Kim Jong-il always worries about things getting too relaxed: either domestically or internationally. He thinks he can only win by keeping everybody on edge. So even while he makes unusually conciliatory gesture to S. Korea in the New Year editorial carried by their official party newspaper, he balances it with this provocative move. He always does this.

Amphibious tanks on a frozen river? Now there’s a winning combo. Bring it on!

I’m wondering what kind of tanks those are. They look like a PT-76 to me, but I’m not sure if that’s correct.

An opposing commander could only wish that they’d be that close together during an attack. What a target!

Obama's Internationally Perceived (well, actually, KNOWN beyond a shadow of a doubt) Weakness invites this nonsense GLOBALLY by all of our enemies towards our friends. It won't come too soon for us to finally get rid of this Obama character, either through impeachment or his resignation for chronic hershey squirts since he obviously cannot measure up to the job and needs a vacation all the time due to the stress and confusion of it all, this toy called "The Presidency" which he wanted.

What S. Korea needs is a squadron of A10 Warthogs.
End of threat.
