I believe that will pass. The Democrats may not win this year but they can plant their seeds of the return to power later by enrolling millions of Democrat-leaning illegals as voters across the country. They do have a plan.

They do have a plan

Yep. The plan is to shove down the throat of the American people, now while they have the power, government control of healthcare, government control of energy and amnesty for illegals.

They will lose ground in the next couple of election cycles, perhaps permanently losing white senior citizens, but in the long run a racialist coalition of blacks, hispanics and white liberals will place them back in charge with a permanent majority in favor of socialism.

If, for example, they don't get cap and trade this go around, then in later years they will have the power to simply nationalize the energy industry.

The Rats need a third world voting population in America in order to be able to rule in a third world-style government.
