Nice. Taking money away from needy people. I hope she rots in jail.

She probably agreed to a PBJ to keep her pension.

Nice. Taking money away from needy people. Stuart Smalley did it and he got elected Senator!

No jail time, but a $45,000 fine and 500 hours community service. She also has to sell all of her fur coats and electronic gifts, and give the proceeds to charity.
Can not for for any city/state office. But she still will be eligible for her $83,000 pension.
Who is the winner here?

Dixons conviction stemmed from her use of gift cards given to the city by developer Patrick Turner. Turner claimed they were intended for the needy. And what makes you think the Turner guy really believed those 'gift cards' would really get to the needy.
Far more likely a 'pay to play' where the guy paying has plausible denial of paying bribes and kickbacks.
